About the Program
Moved2Change is a Yorkville University-approved practicum site that offers a well-structured internship program focused on gaining experience and practicing skills as an MACP student. In alignment with YU’s guidelines, the program is offered September 2026-April 2027. The program provides a virtual setting and client case load to earn Direct/Indirect Contact hours and support to obtain external clinical supervision—please read important details in External Supervision below.
Practicum Experience
Interns will provide counselling to adults aged 18 and up and will gain experience in a professional private practice setting. All appointments will be delivered virtually from within Ontario. Students can make their own schedules and must have some flexibility for ‘off hours’ appointments to suit client schedules as needed.
External Supervision
Clinical supervision is not provided within the clinic. To ensure a cohesive and enriching experience for students, Moved2Change supports the provision of external supervision with a partial subsidy. The cost assistance covers 15 hours of individual clinical supervision. Interns must be prepared to pay for the remainder of external supervision costs to meet their 30-hour requirement + fees associated with video reviews and assessments. Interns are also assisted in finding and securing a CRPO-recognized clinical supervisor. A plan for supervision is further discussed with incumbents as part of the application process.
